Photography Industry in Cambodia

I accidentally came across one blog this morning. Her name is Yoki, currently pursues her study at Preah Sisowath High School, one of the famous high schools in Cambodia. Her blog with the title "Cambodia's Next Top Model" mainly focuses on photography skills and her stylish photos. By general perspectives, I think Cambodian now are so into this photography industry as many teens like taking stylish photos digitally and this industry is growing rapidly in these years. As noticed, Cambodian youngsters are very interested in taking studio photos maybe due to the reasons that these photos look gorgeous or maybe they simply do that because those Cambodian stars are doing so. On the very left corner is one of Yoki's photos found in her hi5 photo album. I'm not trying to advertise her or what cuz we're neither physically nor emotionally related. I never know her before, but I was sort of impressed with her interest in taking photos. More than that, last time I visited Motion Studio, I was quite surprised to see the elderly waiting for taking photos also. Maybe not very long after this, Cambodia will be advanced in Photography skills.

Advanced in Photography skills?? Honestly, m feeling negative toward that. Cambodia has a lot to learn about what the real photography is like. Umm... I agree that there's improvement in this field but it's not enough. The improvement is not that fast enough as I expect. I'm also a big fan of photography. I like to learn it though m lazy and I dun have even a little talent toward that field. However, I used to check on the web about photography world.. this and that.. there are a lot of magnificent photos out there taken by prof photographers. Hehe... Photography is one of my favourite activity though m lazy.. haha.. eh, I like taking the other's photo, not taking my photo te na.. :) Good that we share the same interest.. what's her blog, anyway? I wanna check it out...

hmm, I think u'll have different perception if u come and see what we're in right now. The digital photos are really nice u know. I don't refer to the advancement in how to take the photos, but how they develop the photos, if u get what i mean. By advanced here, pls don't compare with other countries since they're already there, the peak already. We're still developing, in the process of doing so. Of course it's not yet enough. We still need to improve more, but it's already good, as u can see... Maybe what we get doesn't meet your requirement yet, I bet. Lower the requirement tech mo man! Don't think too high of us! If that's ur interest, then u can put ur heart into learning, i'm sure that u'll learn it in no time. hehe, i like it, but i don't like learning it... I only like the way they take photos, that's it. usually, i see China's photography is so nice!!! eh, her blog, wait, wait!!! here it is http://nctm-nctm.blogspot.com but only few entries are there!

Hey Icebreaker thanks for the comment again I didn't know you knew about my blog:D About the photography, very nice. I didn't really notice how much we've grown in that aspect of the arts. I think that it's an excellent step in our reconstruction of the arts. I'm looking forward to more.

Dude, did you obtain the permission from the photo author? Haha... you might end up with copyright issue. :D

To deedee: u're welcome, deedee! Yeah, it's growing rapidly now, as I noticed. I really want to see more development in the field. hopefully, will be more fruitful outcome!

To singachea: eh, I think she's more than glad to see her photos publicize cuz she's doing that to promote her industry u know? she got this kinda photography shop I think. Also, I did give comment on that before public this photo!

umm... maybe it's like what u said.. i have a high expectation.. like i said... i appreciate the improvement in this field even though it's still slow. As what I have known, we are only interested in one style of photography only which is that studio thing. I dunnow how to call it. Actually, talking about photography, there are many and many kinds of them. Dunno how to say man! By the way, great that we are going forward... :)

gäãra_th3Sánd said...

by the way, the link doesn't work..

icebreaker said...

Oops, really? http://cntm-cntm.blogspot.com It works tah! :)

hahah sometimes it's good to lower ur requirement bcuz when it's too high and can't be achieved then it's likely to have given up, but then when it's still low, and u can achieve it, later u can set up a bit higher expectation lolz.. this is the good way i think! hmm, I think I understand what u're trying to say.. Well, many... But at least, we're improved, so we should be glad for that! :)

Honestly, it is happening everywhere.. why? because of the media. The influences of the media is so strong even adults are imitating as well..

And so am I.. hehe...
Btw, I dont think it's just the photography skills but photoshop/photo editing skills as well. You can snap a very casual photo but if you've the editing skills, you can make it looks like a professional!
;)

curryegg, well, the media has strong influences yeah!! I believe! :) I can see that u're also a fan of photography :P hehe... lolz. that's cool anyway! cuz u can reflect ur good image! Of course there needs assistant to help make better. Without photoshop and its plugin, obviously the photos will not be as nice! hehe... but I enjoy those natural photos taken without the help of photo shop or any editing programs. Cool! :)

I'm a big support of this field man... anything improved, do let me know... hehe... :)

icebreaker said...

Of course, I know.. I knew that long ago from seeing the photos taken by u... esp those natural photos... hmm, I happened to see in Ratana's hard disk.. I knew it's taken by u, not anyone else... lolz.. Obviously, I'll let u know once it's improved!!! I guess it's been improving lately!!!
